The secret santa has started.
The list is closed and the notes have been sent out. Lets make this the best Core of War secret santa ever.

Secret Santa...In Space!
Sign up today. Send a note titled Core of War secret santa to this account. In the note leave your name and some suggestions for what you might like drawn. Sunday evening you will be noted back with the name of who will be recieving your gift and their suggestions.

Rules.
If you sign up there is no backing out. If you genuinely cannot make the deadline note as soon as possible. We don't want a situation where someone goes to the trouble of making a gift but recieves nothing.
Do not tell the person you are drawing for. It's called a secret santa for a reason.
All gifts are to be posted on the 19-20th of december.

Core of War has adopted a new policy. Along with the current policy regarding inactive members; Core of War would like to introduce a Bounty system. If an Executive should feel that a particular contender/team is not being active; that Executive may put a bounty on that person. It is then up to other contenders within the Core to requisition a match with that person and submit it within the normal match parameters as a "Bounty Match". The Executive who issued the Bounty will offer a prize to the winner of the match. If it is a double forfeit, no prize shall be given. Bounty jobs shall be listed on the main page. These rules may be found in the "Rules" section.

In the end it had to go to Tisbore. He didn't have the most entries by a long shot but he clearly put the most effort in in that he created a whole second contest and advertised his little heart out for it. Good work, Tis. Go collect your prizes.

Animated stamps? One for each Sector? Even one for just Core in general? I have got to say; there were some other fantastic entries but the stamps just killed me in terms of being advertisements. Applicable to the website, and just epic in general. Good work, Yami!

Third place: ~The-Doomsday-Brit with

This kid did a great job. Serious. Seven whole entries with love and detail put into them all, one for each sector, coloured. To be honest this was a tough one for second; but the stamps in the end won due to being applicable to the website. Still; Doom's entries were fantastic and if you haven't already I implore you to look at EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. Not to mention he also entered the subcontest, too.

I would also like to thank each and every one of you who entered, you have all earned bias points which may benefit you in future bias matches. Winners, please refer to the provider of your prize to claim it.

What is Core of War
Core of War is a Galaxy spanning TV programme broadcast from the Core Station that shows live unedited combat between warriors recruited from all over the galaxy. The whole mess is kept more or less in check by Security and the Core network executives.

Your character will join one of the countless others to join Core of War in the hope of reaching the highest ranks. And becoming obscenely rich and famous in the process is a nice bonus.

CoW is a league where DA artists (i.e. you guys) with an Original Character (OC) can challenge another fellow DA artist's OC to a fight, race, eating contest or any other challenge you can imagine. Oh, did I mention it's in space?

The concept is simple enough: once a challenge is accepted, you and your opponent depict the epic battle/race/whatever between your characters, and ultimately your own character's victory. This is typically drawn in comic form, but can also be written, animated, live action or splash page (other styles will also be considered, keeping in mind that certain mediums have advantages over others).

Both entries will be judged on a particular criteria (or on a criteria of you and your opponent's choosing) by the mighty executives, and whichever entry is deemed the better will be declared the winner.

Consider this an opportunity to meet some new people and work with characters and situations you might not normally have even thought of.

Most of all, it's about having a little fun with your characters...in space.
